In the News

It's called "The Lipstick Index" -- and it shows that when money is tight, cosmetics still sell! Whoever stopped washing her face just because we're in a recession? If you are wondering how Mary Kay continues to be the best selling brand in the United States -- and why our numbers continue to grow even as the rest of the economy seems to falter -- watch this special Nightline story at http://abcnews.go.com/Business/story?id=7279967&page=1

Please Join Me...

One of my favorite things about working with brides is being able to help them not just with their make-up (which of course is VERY important) but also being able to refer them to other fabulous professionals who will help make their special day go beautifully and just the way they dreamed. I am so privileged to be surrounded by a group of really wonderful people who love working with brides as much as I do -- and who really know how to offer true customer service. I hope you will join me this coming Sunday, September 21st from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. (AFTER the Redskins game! ;-)) at Annalee's Formals in the Brambleton Shopping Center. There, it will be my pleasure to introduce you to several of the terrific wedding professionals I know and to help you continue to plan the wedding of your dreams. We will have a fashion show, great give-aways and lots of fun door prizes. You can pre-register (and learn more about the event) by going to http://www.wahmfest.org/bridalshow Let us know you're coming, and we'll have some super gifts for you. Hope to see you there!

The New Look: Mineral Colors!

The new look this season is the true mineral colors. While mineral make-up has had growing popularity, this fall it hits the scene with a passion. Mineral make-up provides more intense color, but is soft enough to blend beautifully, allowing you the opportunity to create the perfect look: from soft & subtle to bold & daring. Mineral make-up also naturally absorbs excess oil, so it stays on longer without creasing or accentuating fine lines. For the bride, this provides long-term coverage, beautiful staying power and a soft, matte look.
